In the year 2004, Ryan founded Relativity Media, where he came up with a new method of anticipating the profitability of any film. For this new concept, Ryan made use of mathematical tools and connected the finance with movie projects. The model helped his media house to produce more than 200 films generating $ 17 billion at the global box office and over 60 Oscar nominations.

Ryan executed several innovative financial deals, including one for Marvel Studios, that led to the creation of Marvel Cinematic Universe. Some of the other entertainment houses he has designed deals for are Sony, Warner Brothers, and Sony. He has also created a promotional, marketing, and production partnership with Virgin Mobile and Virgin Produced. 

The films produced by Ryan Kavanaugh include Limitless, The Fighter, Immortals, Mirror Mirror, Beyond the Lights, Dear John, Zombie Land, Death Race, and Safe Haven. One of these films, The Social Network got eight Oscar nominations. 

The awards and recognitions received by Ryan include the Hollywood Producer of the Year Award presented at the 13th Annual Hollywood Awards Gala and the Leadership Award given by the Hollywood Reporter. 

In the year 2010, he had his name listed 21st on Fortune’s 40 under 40 Most Influential People in Business. In the year 2011, he was named Showman of the Year by Variety Magazine. He was on the 19th rank on the Forbes 2013 list of youngest billionaires. Above all, Ryan Kavanaugh has received the fame as the 25th highest-grossing producer in the box office.
He is also known for his active philanthropic involvement. He serves the boards of some organizations, including Cedars Sinai and The Art of Elysium. Born to the family of successful parents, Ryan Kavanaugh built up a career and the name for himself. Today a celebrated businessman, film producer, financer, and active philanthropist, Ryan is a man of long going vision with a determination to grow.
